What to Expect

A clear, predictable process from first call to final report.

process

STEP 1 — Initial Call

Tell us what's going on. There's no charge for the first conversation.

We'll ask a few targeted questions: What kind of concrete surface? What's the problem (or what are you trying to verify)? Who else is involved — a GC, an insurer, an attorney, a buyer? Is there a timeline driving the work?

By the end of the call, you'll know which inspection applies to your situation, roughly what it'll cost, and how soon we can be on-site. If a Surface Integrity inspection isn't the right tool for your problem, we'll tell you that too — and point you toward what is.

STEP 2 — Site Visit & Inspection

Most inspections take between two and six hours on-site depending on scope, slab area, and complexity. We bring everything we need: the Concrete Clarity Meter, moisture testing equipment, calibrated reference instruments, cameras, and documentation tools.
On-site, we measure, photograph, and document the conditions that matter to your specific situation. We don't rush. We don't take shortcuts. We don't make calls we can't back up with data.
You're welcome to be present, or not — your call. We'll keep you informed either way.

STEP 3 — Written Report

Reports are typically delivered within five to seven business days of the site visit. Rush turnaround is available when needed.

Every report includes:

  • Project identification, site conditions, and inspection scope
  • Methods used, instruments deployed, and standards referenced
  • Quantified measurements with location data
  • Photographic documentation of conditions and defects
  • Findings with clear, defensible conclusions
  • Recommendations where applicable (without bidding the work)

Reports are written to be usable. A GC can take the report into a subcontractor meeting. An attorney can attach it to a complaint. An adjuster can build a claim file from it. A homeowner can hand it to a contractor and ask for a fix.

STEP 4 — Follow-Up

The report isn't the end of the relationship — it's where most of our value gets used.

We're available for follow-up questions, additional testing if conditions change, coordination with attorneys or insurers, and continued documentation as a project moves through repair, mediation, or litigation. If a deposition or trial appearance becomes necessary, we're prepared for that too.

TYPICAL TIMELINE

  • Day 1: Initial call
  • Days 2–7: Site visit scheduled and performed
  • Days 7–14: Written report delivered
  • Ongoing: Follow-up, additional testing, or testimony as needed

Most situations move faster than this. Some take longer. We'll always tell you upfront which kind of project yours is.
